Thai Floods Support Case For Indonesia Autos Hub

While BMI already believes Indonesia will develop into an automotives production and export hub to rival Thailand among the South East Asian markets, the recent floods, which have impacted production of vehicles and components in Thailand, have provided Indonesia with another opportunity to gain ground. According to Indonesia's Industry Minister MS Hidayat, component producers are planning to invest in the country as an alternative to Thailand and Japan, where business has been disrupted.
