New Brooklyn Terminal To Capture Returning US Autos Trade

BMI does not expect the value of US automobile imports and exports to recoup losses stemming from the global economic crisis until 2014. Nevertheless, a rebuilt Brooklyn terminal is to open in 2012, which will be able to pick up the returning business. The terminal will handle roll-on, roll-off (ro-ro) vessels used for transporting autos, in addition to some breakbulk cargo.
