New Pricing Policy Won't Help Sales

The Venezuelan Ministry of Science, Technology and Intermediate Industries has decided to regulate the prices of new cars at local dealerships in a bid to curb vehicle price speculation. It considers exorbitant vehicle prices and malpractices on the part of the assemblers and dealers as weak links in the domestic vehicle supply chain. It hopes the move will help fix some of the demand distortions in the new vehicle market.
