Will Inflation Derail Construction-Driven Autos Growth?

Despite the industry's concerns regarding restricted supplies of Japanese vehicles and higher prices resulting from the weakening shilling, Kenyan new vehicle sales were up 10.2% for the first seven months of 2011. Much of the growth came in the heavy truck and prime mover segment, which has benefitted from a boom in the country's construction industry.
