Honda Takes Popular Japanese Route

Faced with the increasing strength of the yen, Honda has joined the host of Japanese carmakers stepping up investments in Mexico as a way of keeping their North American businesses profitable. Honda is investing US$800mn towards building a second vehicle assembly plant in Guanajuato, Mexico with an annual capacity of around 200,000 vehicles from 2014.
