Investors Unimpressed By Government Influence Over Renault
July 2011 | Company News AlertRenault's target of checking its falling domestic market share and overtaking its French rival PSA Peugeot Citroën to become the second biggest carmaker in Europe by 2013 is likely to receive a setback as it will delay for two years, until 2014, the start of production at a car battery plant in Flins. The company revealed that the project was postponed owing to some complex financial arrangements, perhaps arising from the French Strategic Investment Fund's decision to withdraw from a planned EUR125mn investment in the project.
