Ford Concerns Echoed In BMI Ratings

The head of Ford Motor's European division, Stephen Odell, has called for a 'comprehensive industrial policy' across the EU to make the region's auto production more globally competitive.Much of Odell's concerns relate to the tough regulatory and operating environment in Europe. Threats to carmakers include protective government policies, the risk arising from international free trade agreements and tougher vehicle emission norms.
