China's Decision Not To Impose Tariffs Will Ease Relations With US
May 2011 | Industry NewsChina's Commerce Ministry has concluded an investigation into complaints that US carmakers had been 'dumping' passenger cars in China and benefiting from subsidies awarded by the federal government and the state of Michigan. The ministry found that China's domestic industry had suffered as a result, but it has chosen not to impose additional duties. BMI believes this will go some way to easing trade tensions between the two countries, which have increased following a number of trade disputes centering on the autos sector.
