Bridgestone's Problems Will Worsen As Chinese Expansion In Africa Hits Supplier Sector
May 2011 | Company News AlertJapanese tyre manufacturer Bridgestone is facing a number of setbacks in Africa, which have been compounded by the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Kenyan firm Sameer Africa, which distributes Bridgestone products to 10 African countries, is reporting declining sales, partly due to cheaper competition, and is now also having to find new sources of Bridgestone tyres due to the effects of the disaster on the supply chain.
