The Dubai Municipality has started the first phase of the conversion of its vehicle fleet to run on natural gas, becoming the first government department in Dubai to use compressed natural gas (CNG) for cars, which supports BMI's view that there will be opportunities for carmakers offering alternative fuel vehicles in the UAE as green car strategies gain importance.
