Production Well Placed For Record Growth, But Currency Risks Remain
February 2011 | Industry Trend AnalysisAutomotive production in Poland fell marginally in 2010, marking a second consecutive annual decline in vehicle production in the country. BMI blames this on the export-oriented nature of Polish auto production, as the country is one of the major production hubs for Western Europe. Despite the declines BMI believes that Poland is fairly well placed to achieve production growth averaging 5% a year between 2011 and 2015, and we expect the country to be producing more than 1mn units a year as early as 2013.
