Has BYD Missed The Boat With Delayed Electric Launch?

BYD Automobile has confirmed it will launch its e6 electric car and S6DM plug-in hybrid in Europe by the end of 2012. Although the launch was originally planned for 2011, BMI still lauds the Chinese carmaker's groundwork efforts towards making the launch a success. However, we caution that the rapidly changing regulations governing the segment could pose significant challenges for the carmaker.
